Bad Blood

by Joey Tremblay

Bad Blood is a dynamic performance that views and sounds like a live Radio Play. Actors tell the story and navigate through character, make sonic images, and propel the non-stop narrative experience.

Bad Blood is a gothic retelling of one person’s harrowing experience with the Saskatchewan healthcare system. Inspired by horror stories and stand up comedy, Bad Blood is a thrilling roller coaster ride through an institution that is meant to provide healing yet is often brutal and dehumanizing. Bad Blood hit a nerve for many, as it illuminated timely concerns about Saskatchewan’s complex public health care system.

Bad Blood was originally written with the assistance of a Saskatchewan Arts Board Grant and was workshopped by Curtain Razors in May 2014.
